Noble and a military figure who, among other tiles and domains, was count of Lemos and Sarria. He held the prestigious position of pertegueiro maior da Terra de Santiago at the time of Archbishop Berenguel de Landoira.
A confidant of King Afonso XI, he participated in the battle of Salado and the taking of Alxeciras, commanding the troops of the archbishop and together with Martín Fernández da Limia.
He was buried in the cathedral of Santiago, at the retrochoir to be precise.
