A Galician nobleman, a knight of the Churruchaos family, who hailed from the lands of Deza.
The military chief of the city and the castle of A Rocha, he led the first revolts of the local bourgeoisie against Archbishop Berenguel de Landoira.
He was murdered at the castle by the men of the archbishop along with the other eleven leaders of the revolts when they went to negotiate peace with the prelate.
